Biography

The Swiss Soprano Bernadette Sialm grew up in a family of musicians and started playing the piano and the the violin at the age of six.

 

After highschool she studied music and singing at the Conservatoire Basel, in Zürich and in Freiburg in Breisgau in Germany. She was a member of the Swiss Opera Studio and achieved the diploma of Opera Concert Singing.
After getting her diploma in Basel with honors she continued her studies and received the Diploma for Solo Concert Singing.

 

Many international engagements in Concert and Opera Houses all over the world have followed since. She performed among others in Bern,  in Zürich, Freiburg im Breisgau, Lake of Constance, France, Austria and Ghana. Her soloist concert activities consists of performances together with the Capriccio Basel, Camerata Basel, the Bernese ymphony Orchestra, Sinfony Orchestra Biel, Basel Sinfonietta and L'arpa festante in Münich.
Bernadette Sialm performed in several world premieres on swiss classic radio.

  

Advanced training was given to her in master classes in USA, Germany and Sweden by Joan Sutherland, Klesie Kelly, Carol Smith, Elisabeth Glauser, Beata Heuer-Christen, Jakob Stämpfli and Friedrich Gürtler.  

 

Several Broadcast- and CD-Recordings round up her versatile artistic activities.
